Candidate must have a life-controlling problem, must recognize the need for help and want to change.
Candidate must realize that Christian counsel is a very important part of the scope of Renovation House. Candidate must have an open mind and heart to our philosophy, which is Christ centered.
Candidate must be 18 years or older and have valid identification such as drivers licence, birth certificate or passport etc.
Candidate must be aware of the center’s rules and regulations, and be willing to abide by them.
Candidate must understand that the duration of the Renovation House program is for a total of 12 months. The first 9 months as a resident, then the resident may apply for the transition level for the last 3 months.
Prior to admission, the candidate must voluntarily disclose pending legal issues including warrants, probation, parole, court cases etc and accompanying details. Legal matters need to be resolved as much as possible before admission into the program. The cost of travelling to and from legal appointments must be discussed and covered by each participant well in advance of any appointments.
Renovation House is not equipped to deal with severe emotional and/or mental problems. In these cases referrals will be made to the best possible location. Anyone using psychotropic/psychiatric medications must talk with their doctor to determine if the medication can be eliminated safely, since they are not allowed at Renovation House.
Detoxification is required prior to admission.
Renovation House requires a non-refundable Admission Fee of $600.00 prior to accepting a participant into the program. Monthly support of $400.00/month is required to help cover the ministry’s expenses. Arrangements for the payment of this support needs to be established before entrance to Renovation House, with the first month payable prior to admission into the program.
Extensive dental/medical issues should be dealt with before entering the program. Anything requiring future follow-up must be discussed before admission, including any doctor prescribed medications, financial responsibility for medical bills, etc. The use of narcotic or similar type medications is not allowed.
